By using this site, you are deemed to have agreed to these terms and conditions of use. We reserve the right to modify them at any time. By using this site after we post any changes to these terms and conditions, you agree to accept those changes, whether or not you have reviewed them. If at any time you choose not to accept these terms and conditions of use, please do not use this site.

These terms and conditions apply to your use of Skill Share West Sussex which is owned and operated by West Sussex County Council (WSCC). These terms and conditions do not apply to your use of unaffiliated sites to which Skill Share West Sussex links.

Organisations registering for this service are confirming that they are a voluntary and community group or social enterprise operating in West Sussex. The website is not for use by those operating outside of the West Sussex County Council boundary.


This disclaimer applies both to WSCC as managers of this website.

The services and materials on this site are provided “as is” and without warranties of any kind, either expressed or implied. We disclaim all warranties, expressed or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

WSCC does not warrant that any functions contained in Skill Share West Sussex will be uninterrupted or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that Skill Share West Sussex or the server that makes it available is free of viruses or other harmful components.

WSCC does not warrant or make any representations regarding the use or the results of the use of the materials in this site in terms of their correctness, accuracy, reliability, or otherwise. You assume the entire cost of all necessary servicing, repair or correction.

Applicable law may not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so the above exclusion may not apply to you.

WSCC reserves the right to reject or withdraw any opportunity or volunteer registration without explanation.

There may be occasions where information is inaccurate or incomplete. You can help us to correct this by reporting it to

WSCC attempts to ensure the accuracy of material and to test it on various platforms. But VCACD does not guarantee that any of its contents is virus-free. You must take your own precautions as we accept no responsibility for any infection by virus or other contamination or by anything which has destructive properties. We will not share your personal information with anybody else without your knowledge, unless we are required by law to do so. To have your information removed please inform the administrator

Risk Assumption and Precautions

You assume all risk when using the services, including but not limited to all of the risks associated with any online or offline interactions with others, including volunteering. You agree to take all necessary precautions when meeting volunteers or organisations. In addition, you agree to review and follow the recommendations set forth in the checklists, which will be provided on the Professional, Business, Student and Find Volunteers Pages of the website.


All material on our website, including text and graphics, is copyright West Sussex County Council unless otherwise stated. It may be used only with the written permission of WSCC. WSCC does not object to the use of material which is included on the website for personal or private research. Educational use (within the classroom) is permitted provided that no changes are made to the material and WSCC is acknowledged as the owner.

Logos and artwork

The logos and artwork on the web site are the copyright of its information providers and use of them is strictly prohibited without prior authorisation.

Copyright for contribution

Where you submit any contribution to VCACD (including but not limited to photographs or text) you agree to grant VCACD a royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative work from, distribute, perform, play and exercise all copyright with respect to your contribution worldwide.

VCACD is also granted the right to incorporate your contribution in any other works in any media known or later developed for the full term of any rights that may exist. If you do not want to grant to VCACD the rights set out above, please do not submit your contribution to VCACD.

By submitting your contribution to VCACD, you guarantee that your contribution is:

  • your own original work and that you have the right to make it available to VCACD for all purposes specified above.
  • not defamatory and does not infringe any law.

You will indemnify VCACD against all legal fees, damages and other expenses that may be incurred by VCACD as a result of your breach of the above guarantee.

Social media

VCACD maintains a number of social media sites. These sites provide a regular stream of information, news and service updates. We welcome your comments, suggestions and questions raised through our social media sites. However, we do request that you do not use these channels to post abusive, offensive or inappropriate comments. We reserve the right to remove any comment without prior notification.

We encourage anyone coming across offensive comments to report them to us. An email address is made available on each social media site so that you can contact the administrator direct with any questions or concerns you may have.

VCACD cannot be held responsible for any content which has been posted by a member of the public and we do not endorse these comments or the authors who create them.
