The RSPB is the UK’s biggest nature conservation charity – we focus on conserving the UK’s wildlife and restoring and protecting its natural habitats.

Part of our work is to link up with other organisations in order to promote landscape scale conservation. Arun and Rother Connections (ARC) is a partnership project between the RSPB, Environment Agency, Sussex Wildlife Trust, South Downs National Park Authority, Natural England, West Sussex County Council and the Arun and Rother Rivers Trust. The RSPB is the lead partner, holding overall responsibility for successful delivery of the project. The ARC Partnership is very grateful to the Heritage Lottery Fund for supporting the project.

The Arun and Western Streams Catchment Partnership has been established primarily for the purposes of integrated catchment management and delivery of the Water Framework Directive and is supported by a broad range of organisations and individuals, representing a whole host of interests from across the catchment, one of which is the RSPB. The partnership is hosted by the Arun and Rother Rivers Trust (ARRT) whose role is to facilitate delivery through partnership working in line with Defra’s Catchment Based Approach Policy Framework.
