Mid Sussex Children and Family Centres

A Children and Family centre is a ‘one stop shop’ for parents – providing information, advice and guidance on a range of subjects to enhance the health and wellbeing of families.

Centres are all different. Some are larger, purpose built centres with play areas and training rooms. Alternatively, rural projects deliver services via a mobile Children and Family Centre which travels around to communities taking services to where they are needed.

Children and Family Centres comprise of (services may vary from centre to centre):-

 Support for families with children with special educational needs

 Links with Job Centre Plus and local training providers to support parents and carers who are considering training and employment

 Toy library including sensory toys and a sensory mobile bus

 Oral Health resources and a parent reference library
