Chichester Harbour and Selsey Sea Cadets

Chichester Harbour and Selsey Sea Cadets is a charitable organisation based in Chichester offering training and adventurous activities for young people from the ages of 10 to 18.

We are part of the National Sea Cadet Organsiation who currently have 14,000 young people in 400 units across the country.

“Our aim is to inspire young people through nautical adventure and challenge to help give them a head start in life”

All of the work we do is supported by the volunteers who fulfill one of 4 roles; Unformed Instructors; Unit Management Team member; Parents and Supports Team and Unit Assistants.

Volunteers give up as much or as little time as they are able with the exception of the Uniformed Instructors who are expected, so far as they are able to attend 2 nights a week to be able to cover the training of the cadets.

As well as offering the opportunities to use any skills you have to develop the young people their are opportunities to develop your own skills.
