Activenture provides incredible residential adventure weeks for young people with impairments (guests) aged 8-18yrs. Volunteers aged 13-18yrs stay as buddy helpers, while adult volunteers encourage groups of guests and helpers to participate in activities such as canoeing, zip wire, wall climbing, swimming, etc (sessions led by our professional instructors).

The adventure weeks take place during most school holidays and are held at Hindleap Warren, Wych Cross, Forest Row, East Sussex or Woodrow High House, Woodrow, Amersham, Buckinghamshire. Volunteers stay with us for seven days and we provide all accommodation, meals and activities free.

Volunteers will be required to complete an enhanced CRB and background checks, as well as an induction training day prior to attending – all of which we will organise.

This is a distinctive opportunity to participate in a project which has been highly endorsed by several local authorities, particularly because young people are supporting young people to participate. Although we principly draw participants from the south east, some Guests and volunteers actually travel from much further afield to participate.
