The Fundraising Hub
A logo designed by a Skillshare volunteer has been used on a new website.
Kate Scales, Development Manager, said: “We have a limited marketing budget and this branding will help give the project greater recognition and a professional touch. We are thrilled with the logo.”
The fundraising hub was set up by Voluntary Action Arun and Chichester, with support from The University of Chichester and funding from Chichester in Partnership.
The hub has a paid fundraiser and voluntary and community organisations can buy a percentage of their time, at cost price, to fundraise on their organisations’ behalf.
A team of volunteers trained in fundraising by the University of Chichester support smaller voluntary led groups. The volunteer part of the hub operates across Chichester and Arun Districts.
Madeleine Mills, Sussex Manager for Young Enterprise said: “The Skills Share website was simple and quick to use. Within a day or two I had several enquiries from volunteers. Two enquirers had volunteered with our organisation within two weeks of making contact through the Skills Share website! I shall be posting more of our volunteering opportunities onto the website shortly. It is an excellent service – keep up the good work!”

Natures Way Foods Ltd volunteer to paint an office at Crossroads Care West Sussex
The decision of Natures Way to provide time for their employees to have paid time to volunteer to help local charities is invaluable to charities like Crossroads. Working with Nicky Upton we were able to put a decorating project together that, from initial contact to completion, was done very quickly. We thought the project would take at least 3 days but the team proved to be so efficient that they completed it successfully in one day. The standard of work has been of a very high calibre. Without the team’s efforts we would not be in a position to use the room effectively for at least a further year. Many thanks to Nicky, her team and Natures Way for helping us.
